Today We Escape
We are Today We Escape. Wilson and Matt were in a band called Aldehyde, which ultimately broke up. Then this wildcat named Jared heard the Aldehyde album and wanted to play some jams. Months passed and we couldn't find a drummer to save our lives, but then one day God himself delivered Scott to our doorstep. We actually met him at a gas station down the road from Jared's but it feels the same. Scott was in several pop-punk and hardcore bands. Jared listens to Faith No More and hip-hop and of course, Mastodon. Muck is a huge metal fan. Wilson listens to The Pixies and Portishead. We have no delusions of grandeur, but we know we're better than whatever modern rock is pretending to be right now, and that's all that really matters. If we fail at that, then we have wasted everyone's time. We do not have songs about girls breaking our hearts, or missing a girl, or hating our parents. We all love science.
